Step 1- Read all the comments from the previous assignment.
Step 2- Choose one comment which is thoughtful.
Step 3-
First, paraphrase the comment you are responding to: For example: “Mr. Franco thinks that…”
Then challange the nomination.
Write a question about the chosen comment. The question must be: clear, sincere, useful and be the sort of question which leads to more questions. The question you write must complicate the comment’s argument, make the reader of the comment you are questioning think deeper. Stir up some intellectual trouble

Miss Catherine Liang: I agree John Adams worked very hard and very much showed intelligence because he peacefully improved relationships with France and America. Adams did have trouble when France got angry and he had one of his people go to France and calm them down. My question to you Catherine is why choose Adams? Everyone picked him, was it because it was easy or you found Adams interesting to you? Catherine your answer was very good, well written and the question was hard this was a great read!
Lourdjanie Florial said that John
Adams was trying to bring the United States and France together.
How did John Adams make this possible?
Mr.Khimadov stated that he would nominate John Adams because he didnt exert the will of the ruler.HELLO!we know that already but what I really want to know is why did you also stated that Mr.Adams wanted to bring peace to the U.S but you didn't mention who he wanted to make peace with and why he wanted to bring peace. To answer my own question the answer is france as you may already know france was the U.S main enemy that was ready to strike any time.Last but not least through all of your post you didnt even mention the xyz affiar with him and Goerge W.bush.I agree that I would also nominate John Adams.
To; Mr. Nicholas Maddaloni
I really have enjoyed reading your reasons why you nominated George Washington for Nobel Peace Prize. I was glad that you have picked someone else rather then John Adams. But he and other leaders also have there great achievements. You wrote
In George's two terms of presidency, he has always been an honest leader.I think that each person from our class wrote that there leader always been honest and hard-working. But my question is how you know that George Washington was honest that he was a hard working person. You may answer like this; because of his accomplishments, because he worked very hard for becoming the president of the United States and he won wars. How do know he did not came out on the last minutes killed one person and became a hero how do you know he was honest. How do you know he been honest not hiding documents of wrong which he done? I have an answer for this for this question but I want you to think about it and tell me at school. You also wrote; In addition, he is on the quarter and dollar bill and he is carved on Mount Rushmore. But how does show the importance of George Washington. Pretend if they put my face on the 1, 5, 20, or 100 dollar bill what would that mean. Why did the government decided to put my face on? Why do you think its important information that George Washington is on a dollar bill and quarter and carved Mount Rushmore how does this support his nomination for this prize. Other question which I have is when George Washington was the president in what shape was the country. Was it moving through well or it was just life perfect when George Washington was the president? I also through that the achievements of George Washington that you include are thoughtful and enjoyable to read. I also would nominate George Washington for the Nobel Peace prize now because your response encourages doing that now. He is a patriotic General that fought in the revolutionary war and he is the first president of the United States of America. He fought for the British in the French and Indian war, he signed the Declaration of Independence. Although George Washington didn't go to college, he was not only president of the United States, he was also president of constitutional convention and commander of the continental army. These facts encouraged me.
To; Ms. Lourdjanie Florial
I really though the response which wrote was amazing. It describes everything which was needed to say in about 12 lines. But, I still have few questions. You wrote John Adams’ hard work, honesty and intelligence got him his respect even by those who opposed him. But how does this help explain reason why you would nominate? I have also asked the same question Nicholas because there sometime facts which are written to make the response look not to give support a topic.
Other question which I have if John Adams was alive in our day and he would get the Nobel Peace Prize. Would John Adams would he accept the Nobel Peace Prize. Other question which I have is if the France stopped the war and conferenced first who would then get the Nobel Peace Prize. History could have got the other way. I really enjoyed reading your response.
To Jason Kemelman:
Jason, I really like your reponse. I really liked how you explained how John Adams, didn't exert the will of the ruler, instead, he went to the better side and respected the rule of law. I think your made a great choice as John Adams as your nominate!
For my question I would like to ask when you said,"John Adams, didn't exert the will of the ruler, instead, he went to the better side and respected the rule of law." In your response you are not clearly explaining how Adams didnt exert the will of the ruler.
Also, I would like to ask that Why do you think John Adams didn't exert to the will of the ruler?
You also stated that, "he went to the BETTER side and respoected the rule of law." Jason, ehy do you think that John Adams repecting the rule of law is BETTER? Please clearly state your meaning of saying that the "rule of law" Adams chose was "BETTER" than the will of the ruler?
To Christie Frag ,
I agree to your writing that he helped America and France. I want to ask you, if you have other information about John Adams that you want to nominate him?
Mr. Lenny states that he agrees with John Adams because he did alot of hard work and improved America and France. My question to Mr.Lenny is what if i didn't know what john adams was all about, you have to provided me with facts and information, you have to let me know what kind of hard work did he do and why.
My question is for Mr. Nicholas Madalloni.Your answer was very good, but had nothing to do with the nobel peace prize.Do u know what the nobel peace prize is? everything you mentioned is a domestic issue. Most Nobel Peace Prize winners, share something the whole world gets to enjoy. Not just a specific country.
To Lenny,
You state that you agree with John Adams because he did a lot of hard work and improved America and France. But I wonder, what if I didn't know what john Adams was all about, you would have to provided me with facts and information, you have to let me know what kind of hard work did he do and why. So I ask would actually be able to do that.
Anastasiya:Your response was very convincing. My question is what history was made? I understand that this was a very big trademark of memory but how was it such a thing to remember? I liked how much details you put into your response and it was a very interesting blog that you posted.
Mr. Maddaloni says that George Washington should have the Nobel Peace prize. You say that George Washington is on the quarter and dollar bill. My question is why do you think that being on a quarter and dollar bill will help someone get a Nobel Peace prize. You also stated that he signed the signed the Declaration of Independence. Why is signing the Declaration of Independence so important? To back up my first question is that you have to be dead to be on a dollar bill, quarter, and even to be carved into Mt. Rushmore. Another question is there have been many honest presidential leaders. Why should you be given a Nobel Peace prize for being president? I also would have picked George Washington but these are questions that I couldn’t miss. Please answer back. Thank You.
To;Mr Nicholas Maddaloni
I agree with you that George Washington was an honest leader. What I do not understand is why he should deserve the nobel peace prize.I respect his many accomplishments but he fought in war.He did not prevent war, like John Adams.Still, you had a great and very convincing response which I enjoyed reading.
Mr. Maddaloni said that George Washington is on the quarter and dollar bill.
My question to you is why would this make you nominate him?
My quetion is to Catherine Liang:
Catherine Liang has said that John Adams was ahard worker and a honest person.
I completely agree with you but don't you tink that it could have a little more detail?
Like it could show how he was a honest, and show his many accomplishments showing how he was a hardworker.
Catherine Liang : I agree that John Adams should be nominated but I want to ask you to tell me more about John Adam's hard work. I need more sources of what he did, specific information.
